Because sometimes what looks like a simple need is really an opportunity to let a young lady know she matters.
Bras for Blossoming was created from something deeply personal to me. A lifetime of learning what proper support can mean and realizing that not every girl has access to the same guidance, care, and resources I grew up with.
For me, it has always been about more than a bra.

Bras have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
As a young girl with a larger bust, I was often embarrassed by my body. I wore oversized shirts (thinking they would hide me) and looking back, they often made me feel bigger and even more self-conscious.
My mother understood something I didn’t understand yet; the importance of a good foundation and she made sure my sisters and I learned about proper fit early (through The Hudson’s Bra Club) and my dad worked hard to make sure we always had access to what we needed.
At the time, I thought we were just getting bras.
I didn’t realize, that underneath those experiences was something much bigger. It was love. It was care. It was being seen and knowing that what we needed mattered.
As I got older, I carried those experiences with me. I learned to embrace the body God gave me and began to understand the difference the right bra could make (not just in how my clothes fit, but in how I felt about myself).
Then I became a mother to two beautiful daughters. Naturally I passed down what had been taught to me. I made sure they were professionally fitted, understood proper fit, and knew they could talk openly about what they needed.
I didn’t know it then, but God was still connecting the pieces.

Years later, working with middle school girls opened my eyes to something I hadn't fully considered before.
They were wearing bras that didn’t fit, wearing styles that weren’t right for their bodies, and sometimes going without (not necessarily because they didn’t care) but because no one had ever taught them.
Something that had been a normal part of my upbringing wasn’t normal for everyone.
That’s when what had been poured into me began to feel like something I was supposed to pour into others.

Bras for Blossoming carries pieces of both of my parents with it: my mother’s belief in the importance of a good foundation and my father’s heart for providing, giving, and making sure people had what they needed.
What I couldn’t see as a little girl, God already knew.
The bras were the starting point, but the lesson was always bigger: when you take the time to meet someone’s need, you’re also saying, “You matter.”
That’s what I want every young lady who encounters Bras for Blossoming to feel.
Not simply that she received a bra, but that someone cared enough to see her, support her, teach her, and remind her that what she needs matters too.
The bra is where we begin….her blossoming is where we end. 💗
*God is writing this story and Bras For Blossoming is so much bigger than me!*
